Wanting to learn how to dance for an upcoming wedding or special event? Weather you want to make a great first impression or want to learn to dance just for fun, private dance lessons are a great way to get the personal attention you need to build your confidence on the dance floor and learn at your own speed for success in curing your fear of two left feet!

Private dance lessons are available by appointment to help you look great on the dance floor on your big day! Private lessons are the best way to learn a series of dance moves that will compliment you and your special song selection, and you get personal dance coaching for all your questions to help you build your dance skills and look great on the dance floor!

Learn many great dance variations and dips for your special song selection and make some great memories as you glide and twirl across the dance floor. You may also request to learn other fun group dances for your wedding party that you can feature during your reception or you can have a group dance lesson as a special activity at the rehearsal dinner or during the wedding reception itself as a thank-you gift that can be enjoyed for years to come for all your guests instead of those throw-away party favors!

* You may also want to sign up for our group classes on Monday nights @ the Chico Women's Club to get more dance practice! Ballroom Class: 6-7:30 pm / Swing: 7:30-9pm.

* How Long is each Lesson?
Private lessons are a minimum of 1.5 hours per session and can last as long as you need, but 2 hours seems to be the average per couple. .

* Recommended amount of lessons: 4 two-hour sessions.
2 is feeling rushed, 3 is enough to retain the material, 4 is comfortable with enough time to practice, ask more questions, and polish it off.

* Location:
Lessons are available in your home (a smooth surface & ventilation required), at the Chico Women's Club (features a large wooden dance floor & AC), or at another site of your request. Availability of the Chico Women's Club may vary so please call or email with your scheduling requests. *Hourly facility rental & mileage may apply.

For a more cost-effective option, I am also available by appointment to teach the private lessons in your residence at the time / day of your convenience (plus a mileage fee anywhere in Chico). Recommended: a spacious, ventilated area with a flat surface free of distractions. If you live in an apartment complex with a community room, you may be able to inquire about reserving it instead of meeting in your private residence.

* How do I sign up?
Call or email to set up a consultation to meet in Chico to talk about your big day, the style of your wedding and reception, your special song selection, your footwear for dancing, any special requests or themes, and make a plan for the length and amount of dance lessons we will need to schedule. You will be asked to bring a CD of a sampling of the music to be played at your wedding reception (including your special song), and we will write up a contract agreement for your private lessons and confirm it with a 50% non-refundable deposit + any facility rental fee's -or- mileage for teaching at your residence. The remainder of the amount due will be split between the amount of dance lessons and paid at the end of each lesson. Cancellations or rescheduling of any pre-determined private lesson will still be charged for any mileage or facility reservation rental rates as refunds are not available after the contract agreement is signed plus any additional teaching time added as needed.

Consultation: free
Teaching time for Dance Lessons: 1.5 to 2 hours per session
Mileage fee for teaching in your home
Facility rental fee for lessons in studio & not @ your residence
